Who I Am
Hi, I'm Peter Bassill — a cyber-security practitioner and the sole developer behind ipinsights.io. By day I work with UK Cyber Defence Ltd, helping organisations strengthen their security posture. In my spare time I build tools like this one to make threat intelligence more accessible to everyone.
About ipinsights.io
ipinsights.io is a free, non-commercial IP intelligence and threat enrichment service. It started as a personal project to scratch my own itch — I needed a fast, reliable way to look up IP addresses, check blacklists, and assess threats without relying on expensive commercial APIs.
The platform aggregates data from multiple open-source threat intelligence feeds and enriches every IP with geolocation, ISP details, Autonomous System information, and a calculated threat score. All of this is available through both the web interface and a free REST API.

Downloadable threat lists in TXT, CSV, iptables, UFW, JSON and Cisco ACL formats.
